These terms ("Terms") govern your use of PlateMargin (the "Service"), operated by SteadyDeveloper LLC ("we", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
PlateMargin is a recipe-costing and inventory tool for restaurants and food businesses. We provide the software; you provide the data (recipes, inventory counts, POS connections) and operate your business with it. The Service is delivered as-is, with the warranties described below and no others.

You own your data. We process it on your behalf only to provide and improve the Service. Our handling of your data is governed by the Privacy Policy.
You can export your data on request (see Privacy Policy). On account deletion, your data is removed from active systems immediately and purged from backups as the retention window ages out.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
You can terminate your subscription at any time. We'll notify you of suspensions or terminations via the email on your account, and you'll have at least 14 days to export your data.
We aim for high availability but do not provide a formal SLA at this tier. The Service depends on third-party APIs (Square, Stripe, Mailgun, Anthropic, Microsoft Azure) and may experience outages outside our control.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS". WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your data, or your violation of these Terms.
We may revise these Terms with 30 days' notice via email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.
